Pre-production is an essential part of any successful location sound recording. It involves working with-in a budget, preparing the necessary equipment, coordinating with other departments, and creating a plan for recording in various locations. It’s important to factor in the cost of any additional equipment or crew members. Taking the time to properly plan will help ensure its success.  The more information the better for both of us.

Sometimes there isn't a second take, especially during a live broadcast. Once on set, every element of the production must be coordinated for optimal sound quality. From the placement of the microphone to the management of background noise, it's time to capture the best audio possible. With proper preparation and equipment, any production can be brought to life and execute the vision of the client.  All while having fun!

At the final stage in the process. While my physical role is complete, the editors always receive a sound report that includes details such as the type of equipment used, notes on the recording environment and any audio issues that need to be addressed in post. The final product will be the edited, mixed and mastered audio files ready for release.
